Can I host a wedding or event at NEST Los Cabos?
Yes. With a capacity for up to 120 guests, we offer a lagoon-side venue for weddings, birthdays, private celebrations, retreats and corporate events. Our kitchen is fully equipped to handle catering, and we can manage the planning ourselves or recommend a curated list of local event planners. Write to contacto@nestloscabos.com with your event type, number of guests and date.
What is NEST’s approach to sustainability?
At NEST Los Cabos, sustainability is not an initiative, it’s a way of being. From eco-conscious rammed-earth design and water-wise gardens to ancestral wellness rituals, partnerships with local artisans and locally sourced ingredients, luxury here is measured not by excess but by intention, connection, and responsibility.
How can I help the hotel’s sustainability efforts?
We kindly ask you to dispose of toilet paper in the provided trash cans, to turn off lights when not needed, and — although A/C is available 24/7 — to use it from 6:00 pm to 9:00 am to support energy conservation.
Can I fly a drone at the hotel?
No. Operation of drones is prohibited within the boundaries of the property and the airspace above it, unless conducted for authorized events.
Will I encounter wildlife on the property?
Our hotel is located in a protected natural area of Baja California Sur, where wildlife is part of the ecosystem and the experience. You may occasionally encounter animals around the property. Please admire them from a safe distance and refrain from feeding or approaching them. The hotel is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from interactions with wildlife.
Do I need cash in Santiago?
Santiago predominantly operates on a cash basis, so having cash on hand for outings is advisable, and let your bank know your travel plans before you leave. The hotel itself is cash-free.
What is the weather like and what should I pack?
In the summer the days are sunny and hot, so pack a bathing suit and plenty of sunscreen. In the winter the nights are chilly and the days are warm, so pack a jacket and a sweater. The lagoon can attract insects — we fumigate the grounds regularly, but extra bug spray is always a good idea.
What is there to see around Santiago?
The Oasis of Santiago is a remarkable ecosystem in the Sierra de la Laguna, home to the Cañón de la Zorra with its clear natural pools and a 12-meter waterfall (Sol de Mayo), and the Santa Rita hot springs. The 300-year-old town of Santiago has a Jesuit-founded mission and a quaint, off-the-grid feel. Nearby beaches include Los Barriles, Buena Vista and Playa La Gaviota.
Where is NEST Los Cabos located?
In the heart of the Santiago oasis, a lush and unexpected landscape in Baja California Sur, north of San José del Cabo. Tucked within the tranquil community of La Laguna, the property is surrounded by freshwater, native vegetation and mountain scenery.
Should I rent a car?
For guests wishing to explore Santiago and the surrounding landscapes of Baja California Sur at their own pace, rental cars are available at Los Cabos International Airport. Shuttle services and local transportation providers are also available, and our concierge will be happy to recommend the most suitable option.
Can you arrange an airport transfer?
Yes. For private transfers, please contact our team prior to arrival. Requests can be made up to 30 days before arrival and no later than 24 hours prior to your scheduled flight.

How do I get to NEST Los Cabos from the airport?

When is the concierge available?
Our concierge is available every day between 7:30 am and 11:30 pm to assist you with planning anything in and around Santiago. If your arrival or departure is scheduled at a different time, please inform us and someone from our team will be available.
What are the NEST Adventure Experiences?

Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is not permitted on hotel premises, including rooms, private patios and terraces. A designated smoking area is available in front of the hotel. A $200 USD deep cleaning fee applies to any guest smoking in rooms or on patios.
Are pets allowed?
We only accept pets weighing less than 10 kilos, provided a liability waiver is signed. We do not charge an additional fee. Please let us know in advance if you plan to travel with a pet.
Do you accept children?
While we adore children, our small and intimate atmosphere is best suited for guests aged 13 and older. Our accommodations and experiences are designed for guests aged 13 and above.
Can I bring my own bedding or cooking appliances?
No. Guests may not bring pillows, bed sheets, duvets or other bedding, nor any electrical appliances or equipment for heating or cooking.
Is there Wi-Fi and cellphone coverage?
Wi-Fi is available in all accommodations. Cellphone service may be limited in the area, so we recommend WhatsApp over Wi-Fi to stay connected. Before arriving, ask your carrier about international plans, or disable data roaming to prevent unexpected charges.
Do I need an electrical adaptor?
The electricity supply in Mexico is 115V at 60Hz, the same as in the United States and Canada, and the wall plug type is identical. If you’re visiting from the US or Canada, you won’t need a special adaptor.
Is the tap water drinkable?
The tap water on site is non-drinkable. In your bathroom you’ll find small containers with drinkable water sourced from an on-site well, and we serve purified bottled water from sealed commercial containers.
Do the rooms have air conditioning?
Yes — all Terra rooms and Aqua Tents have air conditioning, available 24/7. To support energy conservation, we recommend using it from 6:00 pm to 9:00 am.
What is included in the rooms?
Every accommodation has air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a sound system and a coffee station. Terra rooms have a private terrace with lagoon view and both an indoor and an outdoor shower. Aqua Tents have elevated views of the oasis and mountain range, and an in-tent bathroom and shower.
What types of accommodation do you offer?
With only a handful of accommodations, guests choose between our Terra rooms — built from compacted earth for natural insulation and a warm, authentic aesthetic — and our Aqua Tents, elevated above the landscape with panoramic views of the oasis. There are two Terra Rooms (one king bed), one Terra Double Room (two queen beds) and three Aqua Tents (one king bed). Every room has a private terrace.
Do you recommend travel insurance?
Yes. We are not liable for changes or cancellations arising from events beyond the hotel’s control — such as epidemics, flight delays, weather, or closed airports — and we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance.
How do group bookings work?
Our standard reservation and cancellation policy applies to bookings of up to 4 rooms. If a single group reserves more than 4 rooms, group policies apply: for 5 to 6 rooms, a deposit equal to the total reservation is collected 30 days before arrival, and cancellation is free if requested more than 30 days before arrival (100% charge thereafter). Full-property buyouts require a special contract with separate rates and policies.
Where can I book safely?
The only valid booking sources are the links on www.nestloscabos.com and our official OTA profiles (please verify first with our Reservations Department at reservations@nestloscabos.com). If you booked through another website and need a change, please go through that booking agent.
Are non-refundable rates and packages really non-refundable?
Yes. Non-refundable rates and all packages are charged in full on the date the reservation is made and cannot be modified or canceled.
Can I change my reservation dates?
No changes to stay dates, room category, or duration of stay may be made, but you may cancel the booking and make a new one, subject to availability and the cancellation terms. A change of guest name is allowed if made three (3) full days or more before check-in. If you shorten your stay or make changes after the cancellation period, the number of nights originally booked is charged.
What is your cancellation policy?
We are a small, privately-owned, referral-driven hotel and have a strict cancellation policy. Depending on the rate selected, a penalty fee applies according to the conditions of that rate. All cancellations must be made by email to reservations@nestloscabos.com — we do not accept cancellation requests by phone, SMS or WhatsApp. In case of early departure or no-show, the total amount of your stay is charged with no refund or credit. A credit card fee of 10% is retained from any refund; for refunds by bank transfer, the fee is 5% of the credit card merchant fee + $50 USD in bank charges.
When is my card charged for the reservation?
Depending on the rate selected, a deposit may be collected in accordance with the conditions of that rate. For all non-refundable rates, the full amount is collected upon booking. If any issues arise with the payment, we will contact you by email to request updated payment information.
Is there a deposit or pre-authorization at check-in?
Upon check-in, a pre-authorization of $100 USD per night is held on your credit card as a guarantee for any incidentals during your stay. This amount is released within 24 hours after check-out.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and American Express). We do not accept checks. NEST Los Cabos is a cash-free hotel: payments at our restaurant and during check-out can be made using credit or debit cards, or charges can be applied to your hotel room balance.
What taxes and fees apply to the room rate?
All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars. Rates and fees are subject to a 21% hospitality tax, a destination fee of 30 USD per night, and an environmental fee of 3.2 USD per night, applied in addition to the nightly rate. A 16% sales tax is added to all food and beverage charges and to all other purchases made on the property.
Do you offer luggage storage?
Yes. If early check-in isn’t possible, we are happy to securely store your luggage while you explore our property.
What happens if I check out late without arranging it?
If you check out beyond 1:00 pm without an arranged late check-out, the hotel reserves the right to charge an additional night at the prevailing room rate, or to move your belongings to luggage storage.
Is the reception open 24 hours?
Yes. The reception is open 24/7. Our concierge is available every day between 7:30 am and 11:30 pm, and our security guards are always present to assist you when the concierge team is off duty.
How long is my room held if I arrive late?
Booked rooms are held until 6:00 am the day after the scheduled check-in date. After that, the booking is deemed a no-show and cancelled, and no refund is provided. If you expect to arrive outside concierge hours (7:30 am – 11:30 pm), please let us know — the reception is open 24/7.
What if the cardholder is not travelling?
If the cardholder is not a member of the traveling party, the traveling guest should carry a photocopy of the card used (front and reverse), a signed letter from the cardholder authorizing the payment for the room, and a copy of the cardholder’s ID.
What do I need to present at check-in?
Guests must be 18 years or older with a valid government-issued photo ID (such as a passport or driver’s license). You must also present the physical credit card used to pay for the reservation; if the original card is unavailable, you will need to provide a new card for payment and the previous charge will be canceled. A valid ID matching the credit card details is required, and the cardholder will be asked to sign a registration card that includes a payment authorization.
Can I get a late check-out?
Depending on our occupancy, we can provide a complimentary late check-out until 1:00 pm. If you wish to stay beyond 1:00 pm, a late check-out between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm is available for an additional charge of $100 USD + taxes, depending on availability.
Can I check in early?
We will make every effort to accommodate you based on availability. Please inform us in advance of your arrival time. If early check-in isn’t possible, we are happy to securely store your luggage while you explore our property.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Our standard check-in time is 3:00 pm, and check-out time is 12:00 pm.
